The collection contains feminist and socialist-feminist materials produced by various organizations from the late 1960s through the mid-1970s, including essays, meeting notes, reports, membership lists, and printed ephemera. Several periodicals and pamphlets have been separated for cataloging. New York Radical Feminists was a radical feminist group co-founded primarily by Shulamith Firestone and Anne Koedt with the October 3, 1969, Stanton-Anthony Brigade, after they and other brigade members left Redstockings.
